Hi,
I had a facebook account and I played some levels and I got stuck around level 1000, I kept on trying but after 2 weeks of trying the same level over and over again I just made a new account and started over again. Now I'm stuck again on a level for 3 weeks already. I don't have any boosters and no, I don't want to buy boosters. There are levels on this game that are impossible to finish without boosters. I've seen other people being stuck for weeks as well and asking for boosters but nobody replies on facebook.
I don't want to make a new facebook account but if I have to, I will. I just want to play the game and I don't care what level I play but I don't want to play the same level for 3 weeks in a row.
Just a few levels that are impossible for people without boosters:
Levels with only 18 moves and 134 blocks to crush and most blocks you have to crush twice or three times.
Levels where for example a red bomb goes down from 9 and you just don't get any red candy next to it and you don't have any possibilities to make a striped candy to clear an entire line.
Levels where you only have two horizontal lines and the rest of the lines are covered and don't move. You don't have any valid moves so the game shuffles twice and you lose.
I might be completely wrong but I've seen alot of people saying it but this game feels like a scam because some levels are too hard and you need boosters and you want people to buy boosters.
So my question is, what are people supposed to do if they've been stuck for 3 weeks at the same level and only get one booster every day with the spinning wheel. If you don't finish the level with that one booster, you are basicly back to where you were before.
thanks.
Hello @isthisgameascam and welcome to this community.
In many ways you don't need a reply from anyone as what you have written eloquently sums up what is wrong with Candy Crush for a lot of people, and you have essentially answered your own question.
Seeing as you have asked though I will offer you my opinion
I got stuck around level 1000, I kept on trying but after 2 weeks of trying the same level over and over again I just made a new account and started over again.
I got stuck around level 1000 as well (level 983) and I was stuck there for four days. I must admit it never occurred to me to start the game again just because I had been stuck on levels prior to level 983 and didn't want to play them again.
Now I'm stuck again on a level for 3 weeks already.
How long do you play for? I only play for one to two hours a day, so when I say I have been stuck for four days it is only really eight hours that I have been stuck. Saying I have been stuck for eight hours doesn't sound as bad as saying stuck for four days.
Three weeks is a long time to be playing the same level over and over. You should be receiving the 35 moves for 10 gold by this time, so I presume you must have run out of gold as well as boosters.
I don't want to buy boosters.
I have read online that only a very small percentage of the two hundred million players of CCS actually pay to play.
There are levels on this game that are impossible to finish without boosters.
People are playing at the end of the Saga map, level 10575, so no level is impossible. I get what you mean though and without boosters some levels are extremely difficult. Without boosters all you can do is keep playing and you will hopefully receive a so called 'lucky board'
One of King's level designer's has said that it is possible to complete every level without boosters.
I can't disagree with anything you have written here. Your observations precisely sums up what is wrong with the design of the Candy Crush levels for a lot of players.
The boards that result in a shuffle every time you make one move are especially annoying because it really makes me think that the people designing either don't care about the customer experience, or that they don't understand the game.
I might be completely wrong but I've seen alot of people saying it but this game feels like a scam because some levels are too hard and you need boosters and you want people to buy boosters.
I am not going to say you are wrong, as obviously I don't know anymore about what goes on behind the scenes than you do. I would say that I wouldn't describe what is going on as a scam. King aren't trying to cheat anyone out of their money, and they aren't really forcing anyone to do anything. If you pay it is your choice.
That said you can read a lot of stuff online about how and why Candy Crush is actually additive for some players. This being the case it could be argued that King design the game in such a way that it makes those people that have an additive nature more likely to buy stuff. The down side to this is that it makes the game less fun for those that aren't susceptible to the mind games.
So my question is, what are people supposed to do if they've been stuck for 3 weeks at the same level and only get one booster every day with the spinning wheel. If you don't finish the level with that one booster, you are basicly back to where you were before.
I don't want to make a new facebook account but if I have to, I will. I just want to play the game and I don't care what level I play
Is the Booster Wheel the only method you have of obtaining boosters?
Your statement saying you don't care what level you play seems to me to be saying that you like playing the game. If that is the case the next time you get stuck on a level why not go back to levels you have played before and see if you can improve your score and position on your leader board. Whilst doing that you can practice various aspects of the game like how to create colour bombs. Also whilst you are playing previous levels try to choose ones that are easy and don't require boosters, this way you can collect the boosters from the Booster Wheel until you have enough boosters to complete the level you are stuck on.
Alternatively if you don't want to play old levels just login every day to collect the boosters from the Booster Wheel until you have enough boosters.
You can even try using the Booster Wheel as a challenge and attempt to win the jackpot every time you spin, or try using the wheel to collect lollipops, or your personal choice of booster.
