Saving Progress in Candy Crush Saga

In a hosted post on this Website, it says: "Your game of Candy Crush Saga will be saved automatically on the device you’re using to play." Oh? Then why did I suddenly lose my level (which was in the 3500 range) and go back to Level 1 on the device I was using to play?

If your progress is saved on computer, your mobile device will not save. This is because these devices do not sync.

An iPad is a mobile device, isn't it? My progress is saved automatically on my iPad. That is, it was until all of a sudden, it wasn't. So I'm starting over. But my progress is being saved automatically.

Hi @pdmike as far as I am aware your game will only automatically save on any device if you have an account. If you have used an email and password to create an account then your game will be automatically saved to King's servers. If you have just played the game without creating an account then your game will not be saved, but it will just be temporarily stored. The temporary nature of your game being stored means that it can be prone to being lost due to game glitches, internet issues, or software updates.
