Why is my game closing once I click play?
There were some issues with the game on the Windows app that caused the app closing down or crashing.
This has now been fixed!

Yes it's happening to me as well. The game loads and when I hit play the game crashes to the desktop. Please fix
I get same game loads then shuts down when you press play. Any chance of a cure soon?

Hey guys, are you all playing on Windows 10? It just happened to me with Windows 10. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it's still happening. It allows me to log in with my King account. Then I click on play and it opens. I see the map but then shuts down.
I just tried to open the game on my phone and that works so it has something to do with Windows 10.
We need to tag a couple of the game moderators, @bearwithme @kiara_wael @Sukanta_Biswas and also the manager @Crazy Cat Lad so that this issue can be escalated to the studio.

Oh this is so so stupid. I have 1 hour left to win the Chocolate delux, but cannot access the game? It loads fine, and then as, it switches off. Please how can this be??? I have cleared the cache, rebooted, restarted, etc.... History cleared, so I've done my bit on this side. Obviously a King problem on Win 10?
worked really hard and saved my last 5 lives to play and win this today for lunchtime rest , and now I suppose I won't get it.......... again....

Yes, but it doesn't have anything to do with Mindful Journey for me. It shuts down as soon as I hit Play before I even get into the game.
Same here. When I click on Play, the whole window closes. I even threw away all of my boosters because a pinned post here said to reset the game if it doesn't load.
That's exactly what is happening to me.

For me, it crashes as soon as I hit play. The first time it happened, it showed the "Even Dexter needs a break" warning at the top, and then the whole window closed when I hit play. Since then, it loads the main screen but closes when I hit play, but if I click on My Account or the settings icon, it will go to that, just won't let me get into the game. I eventually threw away all of my boosters by resetting because that's what a post here said to do, but it still doesn't work. If there is a problem with the game for everyone, it would be nice if they would post it here instead of instructing us to reset so that we lose everything. If and when I ever get back into the game, I'm going to be livid if I have lost my progress along with my boosters.
When I open Candy Crush Saga and it goes to the "Play" button, I press it and it closes out immediately and puts me back on desktop. What can I do to get it to play?
Same here, as soon as it gets to the new Mindful event screen it crashes out, I've tried rebooting etc. etc. nothing works. I thought "mindful" was supposed to be relaxing not frustrating.
After the Sam's Streak, it tries to load a Season Pass event, and crashes. The Season pass actually loaded for me once but once i exited it the game then crashed anyway.
Game starts loading and gets to Play. When I click on Play the game shuts down. Anyone else having this problem.

Tried reset and reinstall (Windows 10) to no avail! Whats next?
Disaster I have done the reset as advised and I am now able to play but I am Level 1! However I was on Level 4339 with various boosters etc.
Is there any way that I can restore the situation back to Level 4339 etc.
I am on level 1742, and the game shuts down when the Sam's Streak screen X is pressed.

You do have to clear your browser cache, then log right out using shutdown not restart, log back in and then it works !!
I have just loaded Candy Crush and pressed play only to find my current level has been restored to 4339 - hooray!
So pleased as I can now continue playing as I would have given up playing altogether if I had to start from Level 1 again.

Sometimes it does happen that you get the Level 1 if the game is restarted or not probably connected to server. But you will never lose your progress if you have saved it through facebook or King ID.

This happened to me too. It's just because the new season has already started and it isn't compatible in laptop/windows version. However, in android there was no problem at all. The one and only thing you could do is installing the app in another device and login with the same login details. The problem will be solved.
All fine now - reset the Candy Crush app as advised and was able to play but was back on Level 1 - disaster.
However went back a while later & my original level was restored back to 4339 and also my boosters etc.
So all ok now - thank you for your help anyway
Now it's all over(for my device) hope same to you too. I think they have repaired the glitch. You can freely play now.

Thankfully this morning when I tried to play via King on Laptop Windows 10 all was fine again. I just missed out on playing last night.
