What is up with this game?! Constant problems and irregularities.. always asking me to update terms and now I can no longer tap to reveal a highlighted candy to switch. I have to press and hold to move them. So annoying! I have not experienced this many issues in all of the 10+ years I've been playing. I play on my Mac laptop never phone.

It sounds like your game is not remembering simple data stored on your device (terms and service are usually one of those things). You can try to reboot your phone and signing in and out of your account.
