Level 1696 help please

I have been playing candy crush for well over 10 years. I have climbed a long way with out help from boosters as I can't afford to buy them often. I am completely fed up with level 1696!! I've watched all the videos on strategy but pieces detonate in the wrong places and I just can't get the 4 icing blocks.

This level can be a bit annoying.
Stripes and especially stripe/wrap combos are the way to collect the blockers.It is possible that a colour bomb/stripe combo may get the blockers, but you need to make sure that there are some candies the same colour as the stripe in the same line as the blockers.
