Level 6997???

Something seems to be wrong with Level 6997 on my phone. Some of the issues — Striped candies don’t match the way they’re supposed to. Candies that are under a lock, on the other hand, do match. The level says I have to eliminate 6 of the special chocolates (the ones with a star), but when I clear them, the counter remains at 6 - it’s not giving me credit for the ones I clear. I tried to look online to find help and other people describe the objective as getting 6 cherries and hazelnuts. Just doesn’t make any sense. Given that it isn’t giving me credit for clearing the chocolates needed to finish the level, this seems impossible, not simply nightmarish. After playing the game for 8 years, this has me ready to quit.

I try to take a look at the level, in the meantime, have you already tried turning the device off and on again to see if the situation resolves?

UPDATE:

You seem to have a different version of this level. The order requires you to drop 6 cherries, please try to turn the device off and on again and check that the App is up to date and let me know if it works.

Thanks, Tess. Turning the phone off and back on and restarting the app seems to have fixed the problem. Was really bizarre but at least it now seems playable.
