Slowing Down at 12529

It’s been fun. I managed to get to level 12529 so far. Since 12000 or so it’s been difficult to move ahead without gold bars. Prior to 12000 there were contests to accumulate gold bars, but not so much lately. So I’ve pretty much exhausted what gold bars I had, and in order to go forward I’ll need to pay to get ahead.

I haven’t spent much money to get to my current level (though I’ve seen plenty of ads). I did manage to get to the highest levels and participate in the Star Tournament twice after getting to levels 12455 in August and 12500 in September.

By the way, most, but not all of the latest levels require gold buys (to buy the additional 35 moves) to succeed, at least for me. And also by the way, there are some levels that, even with the 35 additional moves, one would still have difficulty winning.

So, based on where I am and what I calculated I would need to pay to get the gold to pass the 45 or so levels released each week, I decided it’s too rich for my blood and as such will not be racing to the top. That being said, I don’t think I’ll stop playing altogether. If we take the competition out of it, it’s a pretty relaxing game. I just won’t spend too much money or as much time on this game. 

I’m not bitter or upset. King needs to do what it needs to do to make money. Hope their current strategy gets them there. For those of us who can’t afford it or don’t like King’s recent changes (also limiting lives), there are other games out there to play.

I am at 12585. It’s not even a relaxing game anymore, since you are limited to 20 gifted lives, it’s not like you can play for hours just for the relaxation. I noticed my playing time has decreased drastically, I can’t be the only one and this cannot be a good thing for King, no playing no money spent, good for me!
