I reached 8000 ( now at 8042) and the 7000 banner still shows. Per other suggestions, I ( obviously ) played additional levels and replayed level 8000 ...with no banner change .... any other suggestions?

Why haven't you linked the game to your Facebook account?
You say you're not using Facebook to play, yet you talk about different browsers. What version are you using on your computer - the browser version through Facebook's website or the standalone Windows desktop version?
Anyone else around you has a connection issue?
Have you tried a VPN?
My app is not connected to my FB account. The game is free standing on my computer and on my phone. I do not play it on the FB platform. Tried with different browsers, cleared cache, etc. (All good suggestions, BTW even if I'm not your "buddy") Nothing has changed as far as circumstances - same phone, same computer, same internet connection. I've reported this to support multiple times and they don't have a clue why I cannot spend more money with them, get my badges back, etc. but they keep telling me they're working on it. They also claim to have put 25 coins in my account but they are nowhere to be found. Oh Well.

TPTB still have not fixed the issue with badges
1. Try clearing your cache (not app data!), check in-game settings and enable (or disable if necessary) "Milestone badge" under Features, then repeat your last milestone level (try 11k too).
2. Has anything changed in your circumstances - new phone, new Internet connection? Have you tried another device? What about the browser version, assuming your game is linked to your Facebook account? Have you reported the issue to Support? Maybe they are (not) aware.
2 things: first: I repeated the 12K level for the 3rd time yesterday. Nothing changed after their big announcement. Second: I need to make a purchase to finish level 12214. For 3 days now, when I try to purchase coins, the system fails to connect to the store and the little wheel just spins around and around - see image below. Any suggestions?
What's helpful exactly? This thread was created after the milestone banner system got disabled, so nothing would've helped. They fixed it hardly a few days ago. THAT is why you could now get your banner updated after repeating the last milestone level you passed.

Same here, mine still shows level 7000 and I am way past 8000, I got the congrats email and everything but no badge update.
Hello i have reached the 8000
Try signing out and back into your King account within the app, and then replaying the milestone level. It should give you the new banner.
Don't feel bad. I'm at over 11000 however my ranking displayed first at 10000 then 8000 and now it has disappeared all together. They say they can't fix it.
