I don't know which dramas you watched, maybe they were Korean dramas. On the contrary, I donβt know much about uncle culture because I rarely watch TV.

No bad meaning. Is "shushu" a honorific way to call "uncle" in Chinese?
I also watch Chinese dramas along with Japanese and some Indian movies. Not just Asian but European as well. I just want to know about other cultures.
That being said, it doesn't mean that's all I do. π€£ Just on my spare time.

In Asia, people who are older than you to a certain extent can be called uncle, and there is no bad meaning.
