Yes I skip 1 day and a half. That's what I did in the qualifiers and that worked really well so I repeated that for the quarters. I am not as organised as you are, I did not get screenshots when I started. But I remember that top players were already scoring over 900 or 1k. I was lucky with my boards: most had quite a lot of yellow, although some had none at all. I played 3 episodes straight on, and managed to overtake all players. I was then some 1500/1800 points above the following player. When I saw the 2nd player moving up, I started the 4th episode. I was however not protected against potential off line players.
I do not know if this strategy will work from then on. To pass the following stage we need to arrive 1st on our leaderboard, so it should be more competitive. And players at semis are surely more eager crushers than in previous rounds. So please my friend, think well before taking this strategy. It could very well turn into a loosing one. ๐จ
Hi dear @SApple2 and @nekocat I don't understand the tech stuff, however I play this way too ๐ค
My head aches at the moment with the word "algorithms" regarding my holiday let, let alone what I think presents itself here.
I personally find things incredibly hard to understand unless it it is very clear and concise, so I always appreciate more knowledge and help.๐
If this is the case dear Claire, I believe my love for King games is nigh ๐ From what I see I am border line on staying or completely leaving ๐
The thing that I noticed is, I can no longer check their profiles.
I have not checked that, as I never look at other players's profile, except when they request to be friends. I'll make a point to see if I can see my episode race/soda Cup competitors' cards during the semis.
Also, it seems like the competitors are behaving oddly meaning they play when I play and stop when I stop. It's like I'm constantly racing them
I did not experience that. When I entered the competition and raced to reach the top, other players (and particularly the first 3) hardly moved. Some players below No3 played to overtake No2 and No3, but everybody remained pretty much put for the last day.
They should be racing players from their own leaderboards, shouldn't they?
But that's what they do, don't they? ๐ค You are part of their leaderboard and so they are racing their leaderboard competitors, you included... I think... ๐
As for the impression of not competing real players, I certainly have that in Soda Episode Race. I noticed that one player is following the same pattern as in the CCS one: staying amongst the racers group for a few levels, then whilst I play 1 level, they jump forward some 8-10 levels... And then stay put whilst I crawl towards the finish line and overtake them. I have not tested in Soda the 24 hours given for completion theory though ... after what happened to Kerry in CCS... ๐
Were you really competing against your friends in former races? I kind of understood that this was not really the case: that you could see a friend on your leaderboard but you were not listed on theirs, and so on... Is this right?
Maybe we will see players we know from the semis onward, as the number of leaderboards will bรฉ reduced?
