Hi dear friend, thank you very much for your kind thoughts I truly appreciate them ๐ She is happy to be out of hospital and at home, she has to have 90% oxygen all the time and has mobile breathing apparatus so she can move around her home. She is less confused now than she was in hospital. Morphine has increased. Palliative care nurse and doctor visiting Monday.
She doesn't want anyone staying over with her during the night at the moment although some of the family have since she has come out of hospital, however she is very scared especially at night. Mum doesn't know what to expect, she is waiting on Death Row basically, my father in law died terribly and I am sure this is on her mind as well, basically I think she would like to pass with company present.
She has a DNR in place, she in on blood thinners for the clots on her lung/lungs. Right lung is consumed with tumour and collapsed, the windpipe or trachea is semi blocked, the cancer is in the lymph nodes and very advanced. They are not testing, ie, biopsies, her heart is very bad so no treatment can be administered and it is too advanced.
It is literally making her free of pain. My worst concern is mentally and what she must be thinking, this is torture, knowing what is coming. I would like to help so much here, the inevitable will happen, I just want to help.
Lots of love to you Kerrie xox ๐
It seems she is doing better at home than in the hospital. She doesn't want anyone to stay overnight but that's when she gets scared. It sounds like she doesn't want to be a nuisance by having someone stay with her instead of at home. She's still looking out for her kids.๐ฅฐ
Hopefully she is comfortable and it sounds like she has family with her so when the time comes she won't be alone. Continue to be strong for her and your husband. I pray for continued strength for the future.โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ๐
