Hi @arrowflinger - I hope you are enjoying your time in the community. Not every player has all the events. The studios rotate the access to the various events etc. However if you have been playing since the beginning - I am very surprised to hear that you have never had the weekly race in one form or another. It starts every Monday and ends on Sunday. It is found under the events tab and is called "Weekly Contest". This is different from the episode race.
Hopefully it will show up for you sometime in the future.

I think it’s crap that the person in 1st on my leaderboard has passed almost 100 levels in a day and a half. I was in first and have only passed 6 boards since Wednesday Every level I have is either a Super Hard or Nightmare level. I have finished first the last 2 weeks. Now since we are in the 3rd and final week for the treasure chest, I don’t stand a chance. This game completely cheats.

I am enjoying my time in the community & I've been reading a lot of the threads on here.
I've played since the beginning & I don't know anyone who has the weekly race event. I only got the daily treat machine about a month ago so I may get it yet. I get the booster wheel & the chocolate box & the episode race. I don't think that the replacement ones are as good as what they replace. The daily treat calender, fantastic five & the season pass were all far superior to what I've got now. It seems like every change is for the worse, rather than to improve on the playing experience for us the players.
