Champions race reward issue

So why is it that I get an increase of 10 gold bars for each race in a row from 20 to 30 to 40 until I get to the champions race where it only increases the reward by 5 gold bars to 45 for winning? I should be getting more of an increase to the reward for going against faster players so the reward should be at least 55 or 60 gold bars. I can't really complain though because I have 6k gold and the races are way too easy also. (I have tons of boosters)
