Why does this game override the sound settings on my phone?

I have my sound turned off. Like off with the side switch on my phone. It is in _silent mode_ yet when I play this game, Candy Crush Saga, your splash ad for your own product plays with full sound even though I have my phone, as mentioned, in silent mode. How do I stop your game from overriding my sound settings? Also, are you allowed to do that? What the point of even having sound options in your game if you will choose to override them whenever you like?

I’ve noticed that you have accessibility options in Candy crush soda, I’m assuming this is to help people with disabilities. What about autism and neurodivergent people as well as others, for which sounds can be an issue?

it doesn’t seem very thoughtful to purposely override the sound settings as they might be set certain ways for a very good reason.

That's interesting, so I checked it myself to confirm. Don't remember if I'd noticed it before but it doesn't matter.

I could still hear the game despite setting my phone to silent, so I decided to try another game. Guess what - same result. This lead me to the conclusion that silent mode is simply not effective enough. Not anymore anyway. There was a time when one could choose what different sound modes do. Now you gotta adjust your sound settings even after lowering your ringing sound to silent.

That's why one gotta either lower their media volume to 0, or disable music and/or sound effects using the in-game sound options.

Thank you for replying. I appreciate it! The sound settings within the game have been shut off since day one about 5 seconds after I heard that music play. 😀
