Candies changing arbitrarily when mobile screen rotates or mobile screen gets locked

Facing a weird issue. And it has been happening since last month, not sure if it started after any game update. Whenever I rotate my mobile while playing Candy Crush, the candies simply change to some weird looking candies. Some candies look same, but aren't same because they dont match themselves(as seen in the screenshot). This also happens if I lock my screen while playing, and then unlock my screen.
I am playing it on Samsung S21 running on Android 13

Tried force closing and opening. Doesn't help. keeps happening

I've got this issue on my chromebook - I've uninstalled and reinstalled, etc - and it still happens.
