Popcorn (not the blocker that is now the Licorice Shell) is a special candy in Candy Crush! It can come in different colors, starting as a mere kernel. Using it in a match will cause the shell to fracture, and doing this again will pop the popcorn, creating a 3x3 explosion. Using it in a match that would create a special candy removes two layers, completely popping the popcorn, and activating a special effect!
