Lost gold and boosters when connecting my account to facebook??

I was thinking that I should probably save my progress on the game as I've played a lot recently so I opted to save my progress through Facebook. In doing so and logging in with Facebook on my phone, my boosters and gold disappeared (both of which I had be sort of stockpiling). I have read about boosters not being saved when connecting to Facebook but I'm more concerned as to why my gold was not transferred even though I had around 340 ish.
