I want to believe that this game isn't rigged, but lately I can only win 3 races in a row. As soon as I get almost to the end on my fourth game, I can't pass that level even though I may be far ahead of everyone else. I usually end up in last place until next game where I can win 3 races in a row before it happens again.

Of course it is rigged. Didn't you know? Candy Crush is completely rigged from level 1.
First they let you win every level, and if you fail a level they make it so easy you can't fail to win on your second attempt. They give you gold and boosters and let you win the episode races, which gives you the illusion you are competing against others in real time, but you are competing with a carefully selected group of players who played long ago. Once they have got players to enjoy playing and to think they are good at it (which is an illusion) they introduce blocker levels (cleverly these are different for each player, but quite often 240 or 265) to get you into the habit of spending gold for extra moves. If you want to pass those you have to either pay gold or keep trying for a long time, when eventually the algorithm gives you a lucky board. The whole game is one big manipulation.
