Why was I given wrong amount of gold bars

I won 25 gold bars and was given the option to watch an ad to get 27, so I did that. After the ad was done and it was giving me the 27, I took a screenshot, because I had a feeling it wouldn’t actually give them to me. I was correct. The second screenshot here shows I only have 25. So why did I not get the 27?
