I am presently on game 8876 after having played daily for years. One morning candy crush was the same as before and when I went back to play in the evening everything had changed and was named Nostalgia and friends lost along with gold bars. Not happy as always play on this iPad. Won’t be buying any more bars.

There is no way to loss Gold Bars as It's directly STORED to server. Could you please provide me a screenshot?
