Infinity is not the maximum extra moves to be offered, it's capped at 255.
New experiment: to see whether the offer still stands when that bankrupt account has more than 1 gold bar balance .
I won the Pot of Gold for this account, got an injection of 55 gold bars, and tried playing the level again.
Real deal, it turned out to be.
Notice the subtle change in background color of the board, from black to pink!
Finally passed the level with sugar stars.

Wow…interesting. They should just say “ten bars and you pass the level”.

Lesson to be learned here…best to fail repeatedly (given you have the time and disposition) at a very difficult level and then just exchange ten GB for a pass.
A party booster is 22 GB when buying ten and a UFO is 14 GB. The 10 GB to basically pass is a bargain.

Yes, absolutely. That is the best strategy and the one I use for those levels designed to stop a win streak. If I can see that I can keep a win streak I'll use my boosters, but for some levels (usually those with keys, skulls and one order after another to open up the board) this is the strategy to use.

I kept trying to pass level legendary level 2310 and I've only had 2 gold bars and then I'm so broke. That's not good for me.

the user that stopped at 240 extra moves was so close to the max. You were right it is Capped at 255 moves as the max additional moves you can get for not passing a level. I haven’t done the math yet to figure out how many times you have to fail to get up to 255 additional moves for 10 gold bars. Of course I’ve only got one gold bar at the moment..
