I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue in your game!!
That is an odd thing to lose your Gold bars after changing your profile picture!! Did you make sure you are logged into your game with your regular account details?
Try logging out of the game - close the App - turn off your device - give it few minutes and they turn the device on and log back into the game. See if it helps or not!!
