It looks like the feature is gone (for my game at least). I always play an entire episode and using the MH I could select a booster (color bomb or the stripe/wrap candy) and change it to a 30 minute timed booster by watching three short ads.
Def helped me build a large inventory of color bombs and stripe/wrap boosters. I’ll miss you bro.
