When I swipe/combine a stripe and a wrap combo, I am NOT getting the usual across and down effects. It just swishes across and even then it isn't the full effect. Nothing swishes downwards and my 'multi-layered' blocks do not lose any of their layers at all. Please bring back the old effects which worked so well. Even the double wraps combo doesn't have that huge impact anymore. I have been stuck on a nightmarish level for a while and the old stripe/wrap combo effects would've helped greatly!!

I was addicted but the new map broke my addiction. I don't miss this game at all.

Scrolling is different depending on the device you are playing on too. I played for the first time in months to see this change. I played on my tablet, I'm on 13866 and I gave up scrolling at 7252. It takes longer and requires more movement from fingers, hand, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder to scroll on a tablet compared to a phone.
On my phone the swipe action to scroll is done in less than 4 inches. My tablet requires a 6 inch swipe and utilizes the entire arm. From my wrist to middle finger tip is just under 6 inches giving me a 2 inch swipe range. This makes it harder to swipe without using my entire arm.
I also have problems in my hands, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder. For these reasons unfortunately I'm not a superior player or swiper like yourself.
I agree with @MiladyR the new way doesn't seem to clear as much from the board. Yes, this could be from the way it destroys candy now and it's only perceived as destroying less. I'm giving my feedback on my experience playing my game on my device.
The light trail that follow matches are very bright and bother my eyes now since this last change was made. The bright light was making it uncomfortable for me to play so I stopped. I took some screenshots, maybe it's just me. Again this is my feedback on what I experienced playing my game on my device.

Thanks for answering my challenge @Kerrie and so sad to hear that this new change has forced you to leave the game. How awful this is @QueenB : Why are they doing this? Change for change's sake.... Every change lately has discriminated against players with some sort of health issue here. You can't play any more if you have arthritis in yours hands, are short sighted or have epilepsy or any other problem with flashing lights. What is this game coming to????

Hi @Kerrie so nice to hear from you again, unfortunately so many long term Community members have stopped posting. I know why and I don't blame them. I don't leave feedback like I used to, mainly because it makes no difference whatsoever, it never really has though, has it. All we keep doing is repeating ourselves and voting, but nothing gets done. Unfortunately the game is now being changed too often, for the worse. When I got the awful new Saga map in January, as you know, my first comment was re scrolling and I've posted about that many times. But as we know Health and Safety of players really isn't a concern for King. A lot of players have also complained that they can't play in portrait mode, but some seem to be managing with it. No I'm not commenting on the striped and wrapped candies, just wanted another moan about the awful new map.

It is only going horizontal for me and has kept me stuck in a level for daysโฆ frustrating

It appears it only goes horizontally, but it DOES go vertically as well. You just can't see it like you used to because it goes that fast!

Yeah, it does suck King felt the need to change what ain't broken (AGAIN!). That's what they've been doing the last few months.
Much luck to you and don't spend real $ on this free game. That's what they're looking for.

It is terrible. Does not work the way it used to. Almost useless now. All the changes you have made recently are awful especially the portrait mode. Please put it back the way it was. Not sure who you think likes this or what features can make up for these awful changes. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Once the summer games are over I will quit playing.
