New Chocolate Box - How do i use a party booster if i don't have one?

I am so totally confused by this new chocolate box. Things used to be easy.

I lost the chocolate box because i didn't have a party booster....! I don't remember the last one i had one. I would have understood if it had asked me to use a chocolate sprinkle booster since i get those often, but a party booster?

Why do i have to lose the box because of that?

That is absolutely not fair.

Can you explain how people have to use their own earned boosters so that they can get boosters? Makes no sense.
