Why am I no longer receiving lives?

I’ve been playing this game for 10 years maybe even more and I have never had issues receiving lives until these last few weeks or so. What is going on? It seems to be happening a lot as others are speaking about it on Facebook groups. Please tell me what is happening with this game.
