What is your favourite type of level in Candy Crush?

I know of the following types, all pre determined by the developer team, but different from player to player and from week to week, just so that we can't help each other in the community with any tips

  1. Easy peasy fun lucky board levels. Just relax and play and you'll pass. Lots of colour bombs dropping out of thin air. Lots of chances to make combos, all the right candies dropping from the top. These are there to make you enjoy the game, get addicted and think you are a good player. Lots of these in the game up to about level 3000.
  2. Sort of normal Levels that you will win easily if you play starting boosters and are on a win streak or that you can win if you play carefully and pay attention to opportunities - we like those, but they are getting rarer and rarer now
  3. Levels that leave you just one candy or one move short. Keep your lollipop hammers for those! For if you don't it might take a LONG time before the game lets you pass.
  4. Impossible levels set up to fail you unless you play UFOs, Party poppers or buy extra moves. Starting boosters don't work for these so save them for other levels. Keep your 10 gold bars for these so you can pay your way out after the game offers you hundreds of extra moves
  5. Streak blocking levels that pop up after you had a string of easy levels that catch you unawares and tempt you to spend gold for the extra moves even though 5 extra moves won't be enough - Don't be fooled by those. Never spend more than 10 gold to keep your win streak! (They'll probably give it you back before long) Have I forgotten any? Any more suggestions? To answer my own question, I sort of like and hate them all, by the way, because the fun in the game is recognising which type of level you have before you, and then using your boosters or gold accordingly (granted that for this you need to have both gold and boosters!), but it's all become too obviously rigged and boring lately for my tastes. They used to be a lot more subtle!

  • I've found another type, let's call it type 6:

    Rogue levels.

These are levels completely different from what you can see on YouTube and from how the level is on any of my other devices. Often these are harder to pass than any others within this level range because they are taken from much further on in the game. Maybe they put those in for players who are doing too well passing too many levels? I have had one just now, level 1987. It took me about 30 attempts to pass, starting with a timed booster which was (of course) of no use, and no boosters played after that. I used up all my free infinite lives from the collection event as well before it let me pass this one. No surprise here. This is what mine looks like. Everyone else's has dragons.

  • Any gummi dragon rescue level. These tiny creatures are just so cute!

  • Yes, I like those too, in general they are my favourites. Not just because they are cute. Quite like the gameplay as well. Sometimes a carefully used hand switch can rescue one even in a board full of blockers.

So I've just thought of another type of level I'd forgotten above:

No. 7: No more possible switches (formerly known as "oops" levels). Those designed to stop you if you are on a win streak BECAUSE you are on a win streak, because your win streak or pre level boosters block the board in the wrong place. Such as this one:

This is what you have as a starting board without boosters:

So if you play boosters you might get this and bye-bye to your win streak:
