How many of you give lives, but never get any? I seem to give lives to everyone on my friends list, but never get any back. How does that work?

Some people's profiles are not updated thus we can't send lives. Have you checked to see if yours is updated?
Hello @RobynGerner please don't delete any of your friends whose profile says 'coming soon' as it is not their fault. King is testing something called a Player Card and one result of this is that people that aren't part of the test can't receive lives from people that are in the test. Once the test is over hopefully you will be able to send lives to all of your friends again.

Does anyone know why some of my friends say "full profile coming soon". I can't send them any lives or request any. It's been quite a while. I can't even unfriend them either.
Go to the map. At the very top center you will see your profile photo. Click on that. There you are given the option to see your friends. Click on a friends name and you can both request and send a life to that person. Most people when they get a life along with a request will reply. If you find those never do reply simply Unfriend them on the same page. It took me a while to figure this out!

Yep, i noticed the same and tested with friends active. They simply do not receive my requests they say. The game is just getting worse and support is non existent

yes but do YOU send lives to them? Or do you just send requests and reply to requests? Do you use the Friends menu to send lives to them without your friends having to request them?
If a friend sends me lives then it shows they are still playing. In this case I will always return the compliment. Now I find that a few friends are continually begging lives, but never send any in return. The same feature has both functions of request AND send. I delete these friends after two unreciprocated requests.
Also, the Friends menu has been there for a long time now. It's not something new!
my kind advice for you is to check things before getting all worked up. You said, and I quote "when I send out ten times that to friends who request them so I know they are playing". You expect for King to fix the problem but I believe that you and people who do the same as you are creating the problem here. You are only sending lives to people who request them, probably because it's easier and effortless. However, as many pointed out in other discussions too, now that King made some changes, you have to use the "Friends" menu. To find it, follow this sequence: Map, tap the profile picture, tap Friends, choose the friend, tap both send and request life, rinse and repeat.
I think they need to fix the problem. If someone requests a life from you they are playing the game so I dont buy them saying that maybe your friends arent playing anymore. They need to fix it to where if a life is requested one is also sent to the person you requested one from otherwise the contests are not fair. Should be a simple fix, but my guess is that it is all about the money. If you no longer get lives from friends, you have to buy them or not play. How stupid do they thinks we are? I used to get many lives because I have many friends. Now, I get maybe four a day when I send out ten times that to friends who request them so I know they are playing. I guess I'll go to a game that has sponsors and commercials so they want to keep you playing instead of limiting your play because you dont have $$ to send them.
That's why I am here right now. I send lives all through the day and get friends needing lives but I only get 1
Happens all the time. Especially one player. Constantly asking, but has NEVER sent me even one life. He's been deleted.
Yes same here I use to get the max lives 200 and I when I send out request I maybe get 1-3 lives in like 3 days wtf
I am constantly gifting but rarely receiving. Yesterday when I finished my 5 games and clicked on for more I had 0 games. Today I had just 2 despite the fact that I spent about 5 minutes gifting every one of my 50+ friends. Kind of tough to play!
Either your friends have stopped playing or they don't know how to send lives any more since King made changes to the game. There are a lot of issues with receiving lives, so check out these threads:

FYI the way level 9292 is currently set up, it is impossible to win without paying for gold bars or having some in reserve.
