Thank you for the thread @QueenB and thank you for the tag @Diamond_Lim . I actually "stumbled"upon this event just as I had finished the Vault Challenge. So I followed up with the collection of those pretty orange leaves and qualified.

However there is no sign of the upcoming final collection neither on the side of the map nor in the events section on my profile (Facebook). I hope that I will still be able to play! This especially since at the last Pot of gold, I completed both the qualifying and the final collections, but did not receive any GB. My messages to the support team never got an answer ☹️

Well, I don't know why the game doesn't like me anymore and put me in the test group without any events. No events for weeks and even Samst Sreak is making fun of me. I start and the next day it's gone. And yes, I have the latest version, cleared cache, restarted device. And nothing .... Nothing at all. 😁
