Was there a new update that changed the playback functions of Candy Crush? Until today, I could listen to podcasts/music while playing. Now, the second I open Candy Crush, it kills whatever sound I have playing in the background.
@PummyRaj just to add a few more details - this occurs with any backgroudn app (spotify, apple music, apple podcasts, NPR, etc.). It is clearly an issue with the Candy Crush app. I made sure my app was up to date and my IOS was too before I posted this concern. I love to listen to podcasts or music and play Candy Crush so this has been painful! :)
hi, since begin June 2024 Iām having the same issue (playback no longer works) with any streaming service concurrently used. IPhone 12 mini on 17.5.1. Thank you support team for looking into it :-)

Iām having the same issue - just starting on 5 June. Have turned off music & sound in Candy Crush but can no longer listen to a podcast whilst playing. I will reduce the amount of time I play Candy Crush until it is resolved. Hope to come back soon.

Iām no help but I suddenly have this issue as well.
For the past week or so, whenever I try to play CC while listening to an audio book on kindle or audible, it stops the other app. Iām past level 9,000 and have always multitasked. Iāve tried launching things in different order and not signing in, etc but havenāt found anything that works.
I'm an iPhone user and for the last month any time I want to play candy crush whatever music app I'm playing will turn off and I can't restart them while playing. I've tried the suggestions mentioned in the thread I posted below but none work. Not rebooting, not starting candy crush first (including a level, not just opening the app). Help!

The game music isnāt too loud - itās that I cannot play the game while simultaneously listening to music or a podcast from another app without the game sound overriding everything. Just until recently, I was able to play the game while simultaneously listening to music or a podcast.

Is the music too loud when you are downloading the game, and while the Ads are playing, etc.,? If so, it was reported to the game team to look into!

NEWBIE HERE - Is there a way to listen to music or podcast while playing the game? Something has changed and candy crush overrides anything I try to listen toā¦ is there a fix or go-around? TIA
Iām having the same issue. Iāve tried messing with the settings and havenāt been able to fix it.
Have you turned the sound off in the game settings? I do get the occasional ad blaring out but otherwise I've muted everything in the app. If you want to listen to music on the same device I'd suggest you play the game without sound. At least until they have fixed this, if ever they do.
