I have long been thinking that the boards get harder each time there is a leaderboard event on and easier just shortly before such an event.
That's my experience, too. It was especially noticeable during major multi-round competitions this summer.
I've done my test, which was easy to do since although the game threw me back to the top of my map each time I ran out of lives I only had to scroll back one single episode. So I was wrong: They've really made this one impossible to pass without boosters this week. 🤔
I used up my five lives plus my 20 lives from friends. A few "near lucky" boards, those that will get you close enough to know that if you played starting boosters, a lollipop or two, or payed for the extra moves you'd probably pass. Usually these showed up when I had two lives left.
Then I played another 10 lives, getting really close a few times. I guess this level is meant to be played using the coconut wheel boosters, they would probably let you pass after a few tries if you played it. On the next lot, so after 35 attempts I finally got a board that let me pass, predictably when I had two lives left. So it took me total of 38 attempts to pass this easy level without boosters. But they won't reclassify it, because next week I bet it won't play like this. I have long been thinking that the boards get harder each time there is a leaderboard event on and easier just shortly before such an event. I'll keep my eye on this one in the future and see how it changes. Chances are some weeks you'll pass this one on your first try.
Ah, what you have here is a prime example of an old level which is to be played with a lucky board! That is why it isn't classified as hard. Looking at this YouTube video the level has been unchanged since 2017 and is easy if the game let's you pass by giving you a lucky board. The King operators love these types of old level (there are a few more like this) where all they have to do to make the level hard is control when the lucky board will show up. My guess is either when you have 1 or 2 lives left or another five lives later. I might try it out as I am near that level at the moment.
I just played a level where I had three bubbles to pop (or whatever the clear boxes are), used my 10 gold bars for 50 extra moves AND still had to use a lollipop crusher on my last move to complete the level! And, the topper, it was a regular level 🤪
