Unable to connect to playstore!!!!!!

Question

I have today come very close to deleting candy crush. I played and won 11 games first try, leaving a final game to pass in order to share the candy royale prize. In all my previous 11 games I immediately received a connect to playstore option however on the 12th level it would not connect. This seemed rather strange as I had full signal, was connected to my home WiFi and had 5G. I had sufficient gold bars to continue my game in order to win at least 125 gold bars. I strongly suspect this was a 'candy crush' ploy. I tried for nearly an hour without success. However, the next time I played the game (after losing out on the prize) the option to play on was again immediately available!

I could have passed the 12th level and won at least 125 gold bars so the response is not very helpful. I have now easily passed that level and had sufficient gold to play on so this is extremely frustrating and I find it very suspicious that in the final level all of a sudden I couldn't play on and win!
