Never ending "blind" Candy Royale

I really object to this:

Candy Royale popped up today when I started playing. Nice "milestone" prizes, yes, I got a 5 minute UFO at one point, BUT there is no cup on the map and so I have no idea when it will end. So far I have played the best part of one episode and still no cup and no end. I'm on a share (of 500) of 50 now, so I'll play on of course. But really I do want to see the cup again. It's ridiculous playing this event blind. I'm just about to start a new episode and I don't know if I'll have to play another one, two or ten levels!

Update: It was one more level. I scrolled back to check where I started and I think it was the full 14 level version I played. Grim! 50 gold bars isn't bad a prize for me, I usually only get half that, but making me play 14 levels without knowing it will be 14, that is something that needs attending to in my opinion!

That is really strange @christinewupp. Did you not receive the usual 'Play' screen that asks you if you want to complete 10/12/14 levels?

I wonder if this is linked to the disappearing events issue.

In my game there is no cup in CR either, this is a bit annoying but when I want to know how many levels are left to finish I go to the events tab and there it shows the CR icon and the remaining levels.

Thanks for that tip @SigmaMMX . I didn't know to look there.

I must admit @Alienscar I didn't pay a lot of attention to the Play screen. I think I was in a rush, like we are when we have timed boosters, but I did not notice anything on telling me how many levels there would be.

I got the event in my other game as well last night, also no cup featured. That one paid out 46 gold but it was much shorter! Both were 500 gold events and included that lovely 5min UFO along the way to keep us going. It's only good for two levels, 3 if you're really quick, with all those pop-ups, but I really like that. However I do think the time has come that they ought to put the X button back rather than experimenting with the event in new ways. It's such a good event apart from the fact it angers so many players! It's like Marmite.

I couldn't agree more @christinewupp. I really can't understand why King are spending so much time and effort on tinkering with the Candy Royale. A new 'skip' button that is pointless, new timed boosters as rewards for getting to another level none of these changes address the complaints raised by the feeling of this community.

I wish I knew why they think forcing people to play this particular feature is such a priority. The X button would solve everyone's problems. Those that don't want to play wouldn't have to and those that do want to play can. Simples, as those meerkat's say.
