I have 355 gold bars but I can never connect to the shop to finish level 255 on my smart phone! Someone please help me!
@HeathLindsayEdge ZTE is covered by the same trade ban that affects Wuawei and other Chinese firms that means that US companies can't sell parts and software to ZTE. This is probably the reason your Play Store isn't working.
No the model is ZTE Z6356T.
I installed the most recent version and set up wifi with the data and creche cleared connected to my Facebook account but I can still never get to the store to purchase a pinata or three or four to override the pass button. Is it possible to ask a moderator to do this instead so I can get to level 256?

Candy Crush struggles to work if your internet connection comes and goes. I have the same problem you have when I travel on a train and my signal changes halfway through playing a level. The game loads ok and my gold bars show because at the moment the game loaded there was a good signal. But by the time I finish the level that signal is no longer there and the app says there is a connection issue. It happens all the time and I now I no longer play this game on a train journey because of it. The only way I find around this is to close and restart the app all the time, but if you close it in the middle of a level you will fail the level, so you can't do that either.
If you do uninstall and reinstall the game to try and fix this then you will lose all your boosters and it quite probably won't work, so I would NOT recommend that. I think the problem is that your internet connection is probably not reliable enough for this game. You may think you have a good connection which works for other apps, but Candy Crush still seems to have connection issues. It always works just fine for me when I am at home on my high speed broadband wifi. However when I am on a shared public wifi or mobile data it fails all the time. I think the game has become too complex and uses too much data now to work properly for all. It needs fixing at their end.

Do you get any error message when trying to use your Gold Bars for extra moves?
Can you make sure the app is up to date? Have you tried switching mobile data to WiFi and vise versa?
Have you also by any chance tired reinstalling the game app?
