I am afraid King put a stop to using old levels for these competition once and for all. Firstly by giving the 30x multiplier to new levels, though this does include the Star Tournament, but as you said it's impossible for any normal human to succeed in that given that you don't get your win streak boosters. Secondly King removed the end of level cascades, so controlling the amount of candies of any colour that can be collected from a level. This is also true for new levels. I played in the competition and if I got a lucky board with lots of cascades then the game just played to finish by itself with 20 or 30 moves to go. You just can't ever get the amount of candies any more that you used to get.

Oh so well done @MonicaYellow !!. Great! I didn't have the stamina myself. Clearly this event was only winnable with a score well over a million, and my finger and patience just goes after about 800,000 points. In the end I got fifth. I just couldn't be bothered fighting for it. Sunflower was supposed to be a test game after all. I'm just short of level 4000 now on it. What level has Val got to now?
