I havent' seen it for a while. It might be something King were testing out, so I don't think you can count on when it will appear.
Does anyone know how often this train shows up? Like after how many attempts at a level or is it just random?
Ah, maybe it does not appear until you first pass 1000. Thankfully these levels are unaltered so it made a pretty big difference in the chance of winning. I even saw a mixer, I nearly cried, I loved when those things blow up. So satisfying.
I see it quite a lot when I try levels out for testing to check levels players have complained about. Invariably yes, the next board will be slightly easier, but never easy enough to pass without boosters. So it's a method to encourage players to part with their boosters to get this special "treat". Also, yes, it invariably means you will be stuck for a long time yet on the level if you don't take the bait. But I do find that usually a little further down the line a better board will come along. Most of these horrible levels eventually let you pass with starting boosters, but I am yet to find a method to spot when this will happen, as playing starting boosters for every try is not an option for anyone who isn't cheating to get them.
Definitely not a new feature @Pyrolight but it is fairly new.
In my game I dread seeing it as it only ever seems to appear when I am stuck on a level and as soon as it appears I know I am going to be stuck for awhile longer

Suddenly, yesterday, I started seeing the below pop up in multiple games. The first time, I tapped Claim, but it just kept popping back up over and over and over and you can't exit or back out of it. The game needs to be restarted entirely. I am seeing this in multiple games on Android.
