As we know, 2024 is not only the Year of the Dragon, but also the 95th anniversary of Rene Magritte's famous painting The Treachery of Images (currently on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in Los Angeles, California, US), which is all about how what we see is not always what it is.
Which leads me to ask the following question to all players: When you first learned about Denize the dragon, who lives at Lemonade Lake, chances are, you saw her look like this:
You could easily mistake her for a sea serpent from that picture alone. But in truth, she does have legs, and a few events from 2022 forced her to step out of the lake and reveal her rock-hard candy-crushing legs for all to see.
But nevertheless, the game goes to great lengths to hide her legs, selling the deception that she's a sea serpent. Which leads me to come up with this interesting parody of The Treachery of Images, which I called The Treachery of Dragons:
So, were you fooled into thinking that Izzy was a sea serpent? Or were you expecting to eventually see her legs?
