Welcome to the community and to Candy Crush!
Here are my main tips for any new player.
The game will help you out for the first 200 levels, to get you to enjoy it and maybe become addicted. You'll get some free gold and boosters. Don't waste any of those early on in the game.
If you don't pass a level first time, on your next try the board may suddenly become easy. We call this a "lucky board". King control the game and the candies do NOT drop randomly, so the game is "fixed" , as they say, but if you know and accept this it can be real fun to play it! Wait for lucky boards rather than buying extra moves with gold. If you do get stuck on a level come here to the community for tips!
