End of My Adventure (for now)

This last little while sorta did it for me. None/one/two boosters/hints, none of it made a difference. Around 2800 I hit just pure grind levels. Regardless of difficulty any level could simply block you for hours and almost every level on the first try would turf your streak even if it was just one.

There is a fine line between just annoying you enough to keep you playing and just blocking you until you run out of stored up gold/boosters and whatever else you have.

Might muck around with the mobile version to see how much less insane it is. I know from the past that in general it is not as "hard", but I am curious to see if the difference is noticeable these days.

I will check in from time to time, see if enough money is being lost to force them to revert some of the nonsense going on... not holding my breath but other companies have done the same nonsense and had to change when the balance sheet started to not look so nice.

Not vanishing yet, likely going to try mobile (via bluestacks since I want to actually have a full screen game) to see if there is any noticeable difference as King runs it and the Win app is not run by them.

If it catches my attention, or I get the mood in the Windows version, might give er a second go in March ie Spring Season. Knowing what I am in for helps as I can better prepare.

I am sorry you have hit "the wall". Generally from posts here as well as my own experience I had been getting the impression that it now is in the level ranges from 2000 to 3000 that King are putting on the brakes on new players. This comes quite suddenly, since a lot of the levels from 900 to 2000 are easy ones unchanged from years ago and fun to play. I think King deliberately keep those levels in there to make players think they're good at the game and become addicted. Then suddenly after about 2000 you have to start paying all your gold to keep your win streak. If you haven't started spending real money by level 3000, you're a dead loss to King and for them it's time to replace you with a new players. Still, I do think the level difficulty cycles, and it may become easier again with lots of lucky boards. There is only a computer switch they need to flick for that, so it's easy for them to do at any time if they find they are losing custom. I hope so.
