Sweet glitch on iPad

I have been having this "sweet" glitch recurring on my iPad game over the past two weeks. Occasionally when I log in there is a tiny image of an event, and then magically, the game will revert back to the long lost landscape mode. Last time I lost it when I entered the adventure path as it was off screen and made the game hang up. But I'll see if it will last an entire episode this time round. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have had the small Winter Games pop-ups @christinewupp but other than they make my game hang and crash I didn't notice any other side effect.

So I've had the most fun I've had in months playing three sweet episodes in landscape mode this morning. Finished all the collection events, had Candy Royale pop up and completed it, won 120 gold in the champions races and am leading Sam's Streak. I even managed to complete a whole golden chocolate box and win 10 gold.
Guess what made the game hang up then.... Well I always knew it would and I wasn't going to waste my time playing more than three episodes this morning anyway...
Yeah, clicking on my profile to send some lives to my friends made it freeze. But well, it was fun while it lasted.
Sorry I've run away from you on the map @Alienscar . There are some fun levels ahead. If you need any tips, let me know. 😉😁

There is something strange going on I think. @LindQ a Level Designer for King always told us that the hardest levels of the game were levels 4000-6000. Now that I have reached those levels I am finding it to be just like you say your game is. I have the highest Win Streak I have had since level 50, I have completed a couple of Royale's. I am leading Sam's Streak, I have completed three gold Chocolate Boxes one after the other and I have not lost an Episode Race in ages. I am guessing that very soon I will encounter a level that will make me lose all of that, but luckily I don't care. The game is the same Win Streak or no Win Streak.
Oh no I hate that you sending me lives has caused you to lose your landscape mode. I must admit I have learnt not to move away from playing levels whilst I am doing well. I don't even claim the Booster Wheel, Air delivery, or any kind of adverts. I have found that if I stop playing levels for any reason my game mysteriously crashes. I have learnt to send lives when I first open my game, or after I have finished playing.

Don't worry, I did exactly the same as you do, I didn't stop to claim anything either in fear of the game crashing! I was about to close the game down for the day when I opened the friends tab. I knew this was likely to happen! Good luck with your game. It does help to keep the win streak going. I did notice that with playing my own colour bombs as well I had 3 colour bombs on the starting boards and in the first episode two of them often started off side by side. In the second and third episode they never did! It's as if the game allowed me to win and coast through one episode, but any more than that, and it doesn't seem to like it.....

Sadly after the first episode I tapped by mistake on one of the player icons next to the level I had meant to tap on, so it was gone. But not before I discovered a lovely new go-to level. I am thrilled as it won't take so much scrolling back for my chocolate box orders in future! More than 100 candies of all the main four colours per minutes, 310 jellies in 2minutes, stripes, wraps, the lot, lovely.... The only thing this one doesn't have is colour bombs. Watch out for that one when you get there soon, and don't waste any boosters on it @Alienscar . It's the last one in the episode I have just finished.
