If you are receiving requests for Lives from anybody, they are definitely in your friends’ list. So, it is possible to “unfriend” them 👍 Please follow below steps/images
—> Once you find their name, click on it their profile icon/name — you will see option to “Unfriend”. Click on it and they will be removed from your list.
