Special Candies no longer detonating when another one touches them

So I noticed on level 115, full streak + boosters, that pairs of special candies were not dropping and immediately detonating. Also color bombs hitting a striped or wrapped was not going boom.
I wonder if they finally fixed as aspect of the algorithm so that you don't have candies do that or if that is a factor of boosters + win streak stopping it.
They still occur on some levels but those seem specifically designed to have them do that.
