Like our friend @Alienscar mentioned above, the issue is being investigated. But, until it is fixed, we have to keep contacting the Player Support team for our missing Gold Bars.

It's not just you and the problem is very typical @Laura101
Since the introduction of the Golden Challenge and even before that when it was the Double Candy Royale if you start the Royale on a Sunday but do not finish it before anytime on a Monday then the gold reward reverts to 500.
We have been told that King is investigating the issue. Personally that doesn't make sense to me as instead of investigating an issue of their own making they should just remove the feature until it is fixed.
