Accidentally Lost my Dad's 2 year progress

Hey Everyone,
So my Dad has been playing this game for years. Some years back, he
was around level 4000 but lost all that progress and started playing
again. So, I signed into his Facebook account to save his progress.
Today, he told me he's reached level 8000, so I took a look, but he
wasn't signed into his Facebook. So I signed him back in, thinking to keep
his progress saved.
However, it accidentally reverted back to the
original game data, and he went back to around level 2700, losing all
his progress due to my mistake. He said not to worry about it, and he'll continue playing the game as usual. But I wanna make it back for him.
Is there any way I can help him restore his progress? Please if anyone can help me in do that, I'll be grateful.

If your father was not logged in, the process of logging in will overwrite everything.

You could try logging out and seeing if it reverts to his stuff.

If you father has even make a purchase that would be tracked by King. They might be able to use that to figure out what what is "account id" is. Regardless of whether you are logged in or not, there has to be an id for the game otherwise there would be nothing to tie events/purchases and such to.

Log out to see if his game comes back
Check to see if your father had a login that was not facebook
Ask if he made any purchases and go from there.

May I ask if your dad has been playing using any credentials (email/ Facebook/ or apple account) before? Did you merge/ link any accounts together? Or which device has your dad played it on? I feel like there may be more than one account here. For example, the 8000 levels might have been with an account signing in using email, and the 2700 levels is with Facebook. I don’t know if the game saves the progress if you don’t sign in to any account, so I guess your dad must have signed in to a certain account. However, if he doesn’t sign out of Facebook account on a phone/ tablet for example, his account should always be signed in.

I have another hypothesis based on my recent situation. I have one King account (signed in with an email) that was linked with my Facebook. For a couple of weeks lately I noticed that they are no longer connected because my profile picture now is just a random avatar. So, I don’t know what happened but I just keep signing in with my email and playing.

Hope someone at King tech can help you get back your dad’s progress.

I am not really sure what to say about this @underoot_iota All I can think of is that you can try contacting King Player Support from your dad's game account and see of they can reinstate the game back to level 8000.
