I haven't seen it yet either @Kerrie
In my opinion this is typical King cherry picking aspects of our feedback that they want to fix.
There are many complaints from people asking why they haven't won the 500 gold bars they were promised. Changing the display so that it shows 'up to' is obviously their way of fixing something that wasn't really a problem. Meanwhile the mandatory natureโฆ
I forgot to comment on the "Start the challenge with players on similar levels." I wonder what "similar levels" actually means.
I thought for Candy Royale we were playing against recorded times like the episode race. But now as I'm writing this that can't be. This doesn't work for players at the end of the map and play new levels when they're released.
Does a similar level mean for example start on a legendary level? But some episodes have 3-5 while others have 1. Will I be against someone in the 3000 range or in my 15500 range? The last 2 times I had CR it started in the middle of the race so I needed to start another episode to claim it. Does similar mean the 7th level level in the episode? The way it's phrased it could be anything. Whatever it is you know it's not in our favor.
I just opened my other account and found this @Alienscar @christinewupp (p.s. I left a space after Alienscar tag and I couldn't tag you. I backed up a space and was able to tag.๐)
So it's recorded. How does that work for the people who play the new levels when they're released?๐ค Or is this just another thing or disadvantage for them and they can't take part?
I agree that what is now being shown in Candy Royale indicates that King now officially state what we always had concluded: Candy Royale is a timed event in which the eventual amount of gold you may win if you pass all the levels without failing is pre determined at the start. The other players are just recordings chosen by King as some kind of guidance, or illusionary decoy, just like in the episode race. King are now admitting to what was getting quite obvious: When I play Candy Royale the difficulty of the level I just passed bears no relation at all to how many of the other players drop out, time and again I have noticed this. So obviously those others were playing different levels (whatever King mean by "similar" remains unclear) If the amount of gold up for grabs is decided by King, which it quite obviously is (the more gold I have in that particular game account the less I get on Candy Royale) then it really does not matter what level the others are playing or if they ever existed at all. The outcome is the same: If you pass all the levels on your first attempt you get the predetermined mystery sum of gold, if you fail you are kicked out and get nothing. I quite like the event and wish it would feature in my game more often. It doesn't of course, because I always win it.
