I can’t get by level 220. HELP
Hello @jalm32572 This is the first really hard level King have put into the game to block players. There will be many more such levels later on in the game, so watch out for them, once you get past level 220, which you will eventually without any boosters or trick. The candies don't drop randomly but are determined by the level designers. The boards are fixed to hold up players to encourage them to first use up all the free boosters and gold the game gave up earlier and then to start spending real money. You MUST resist this. Wait for a lucky board. Lucky boards are written into the game design by King. A lucky board will come eventually because King do not want you to drop out so early on. You must be patient. There are legendary or blocker levels every 5 levels coming up now, all are designed to make you spend gold to keep your win streak. Don't! Win streaks are not important in Candy Crush during these early levels and you will get back on a win streak very quickly if you lose it. Wait for a lucky board and for the game to let you pass the harder levels. You will recognise it by the way colour bombs may drop out of nowhere or you get opportunities to create combos of special candies, like seen in the videos on YouTube.
Make sure you get to the top of Season Pass. You can replay an easy old level many times to get to the top and it will give you good boosters, including a UFO. Keep those boosters and don't waste them. Only play a UFO or lollipop near the end of a level when you can see it will definitely pass the level for you.
Alternately if you are stuck like this, close the app and do not log in for at least two days. The app will sense that you are close to giving up and may then give you a lucky board to help you pass. King may also make the level easier by adding more moves with the next update.
This video illustrates how level 220 can be passed, given a lucky board, in 18 moves. This player was given 20 moves but had two spare at the end.
One more general tip: To win every episode race you need to play the entire episode in 24 hours. Ignore the other players as they are not real. The episode race is a timed event, and a great way to earn gold bars. Do not start a new episode unless you have the time to finish it in the next 24 hours. This should be possible, and once you have earned the gold from the episode race, use it to get past the worst blocker levels, once the game offers you enough moves to pass with just 10 gold.
