I keep getting an error that it’s “contacting the App Store” but my app is up to date. I haven’t been able to use gold to continue and would have passed this level 10 times already if it weren’t for the error that’s been happening for the last 4 hours. I want to be eligible for the competition!! I have several videos of the error but I can only upload an image

You are right! There are more complaints about "connection issue"!
I checked my game and it is not opening on Facebook browser! And, on my mobile, the Gold Bars are not loading!!
Are you experiencing the issue while purchasing the boosters OR connecting to the game too? Did your gold bars appear or are you seeing the "loading" circle?
The connection issues happening now seems to be an issue with Candy Crush NOT the players. I don't think it's helpful to give players all these different solutions to try, when it's not a problem on their end. It's not going to fix it. Especially not deleting the game and losing all boosters!! This problem is with Candy Crush they need to fix on their end. Please can we start being transparent here!
