(I just posted this elsewhere in answer to a post but think it might be worthy of its own thread. )
Do you find yourself stuck on a level that just can't be beaten? It probably isn't you, it's the game! Bear in mind the following:
Some levels are only possible to pass if you play certain boosters, pay for extra moves, or if you get a "Lucky board".
The YouTube videos that clear these levels with no boosters all had a lucky board. The so-called "lucky board" is written into the game by the developers using computer algorithms, so it is not about luck at all, but about how King want the game to be played. Some legendary levels will not include a lucky board that allows players to pass a level without boosters at all, at any one given time. (This may change whenever King choose to update a certain level or episode) These are the levels players like yourself get stuck on for days. They are essentially unpassable and the way these are intended to be played is using boosters or paying 10 gold for the extra moves.
Therefore my advice to anyone in this position would be one of these:
To add to the above: Hold on to your gold when you do get some, either by purchasing or through in game events and use it only once per level, never waste 16 or more just because you already paid some. Keep the gold safe to use on these legendary levels and use it only on these levels that have no lucky board, no matter what you do! Then pay 10 gold only once per level once you can see you will definitely pass.
If you have adverts in your game to sometimes give you extra moves then don't spend real money ever (or you will lose the ads), but wait to watch the adverts when the game lets you get really close. If you fail despite the extra moves from ads don't waste the 16 gold! Try again and pay 10 gold instead!
I can't give you any boosters, how could I? But I can give up tips on how to pass that one. This video shows how to use the frog to get the skulls. There are some colour bombs that drop, use these to recharge the frog by hitting them against a candy the same colour as the frog.
To update my thread I do get the impression that nightmarish and legendary levels have become harder to pass during the Candy Cup. Bear in mind that the best strategy - to create combos of colour bombs with striped or wrapped candies -which are required to pass most of these levels - depends on King giving us boards that will drop the right candies for us to use that winning strategy. If the boards are fixed to not drop the right candies no strategy will pass except using gold or boosters, or both. Personally I shall play fewer new level whilst this is going on: It's not just about how you play, it's about when you play in Candy Crush!
Hi @christinewupp!
I agree with your strategy!
About the dropping the right candies, or lucky board, it is decided by the algorithm!
And yes, if you do not come for several days, then you have more advantageous candydropping!
I just passed the 2000 level! I have noticed that most of the levels are hard or very hard!
I usually spend 2, 3 or more lives for each board! Only when having timed boosters, I did a 3 episode race streak!
Events that need streaks tend to be impossible! Win streaks, Episode race streaks, Candy cup etc!
