hi, I am no longer able to count listening to my music or podcasts while playing this game. Did u guys change it? I cannot play this game in silence, it will make me play it a lot less if that is the case.

No! The game did not change anything, but it is a glitch that is affecting many players. But, I am glad to inform you that the Candy Team are working hard and trying to bring in a fix… it is just a matter of time!
If today's new version release did not resolve the issue, you might have to wait till next week! But, please keep an eye on our main thread for an update by our Community In-charge, where we are compiling all the complaints —> Cannot play Music while playing Candy Crush
