How can someone just suddenly appear on your weekly leader board and suddenly be ahead of everyone and seems to be able to pass 20 levels in 5 min? Is this a way to get members to spend more money?

Two reasons the King give us are — (1) That player might have just created a King account and hence automatically added to the Weekly Race🤔
(2) They might be playing off-line and as soon as they are online, they are added to the Race!!
If you think these 2 are not the reasons for that player to appear in the Weekly Race, I would suggest you to send a complaint to the King Player Support team. If you are using mobile device, please follow the steps & suggestions provided in this link —> How to report Cheating in the game.
